Introducción del Empleo:

Working within the Secure Solutions Bid Team as part of G4S plc, the Graphic Designer's main focus will be on graphics creation and development, for both our written responses and presentations.

The successful candidate will also support (when required) the broader effort to submit excellent proposals, which could include elements of project management, capture planning, writing, editing and governance.  

The main focus of the role will be on graphics creation and development, transferring written content into compelling graphics, presenting our bid messaging with engaging and influential visuals.

The role will be within the Secure Solutions Bid Team, and will report to the Senior Bid Writer/Manager. The Bid Team sits within the broader sales function, and work very closely with other functions including operations, finance and legal.

The role will be based in Gillingham Street, London Victoria, but with an opportunity to work remotely from home 2 - 3 days a week (subject to projects).

The successful candidate's main focus will be to:

  • Lead on the graphic design for our tender responses and presentation. They will develop new visual themes and graphics, with the objective of making our responses more effective, visually appealing and more interesting to read.
  • Develop graphics for our MS Word responses, presentations and on selected opportunities using InDesign.
  • Create written content to sit within the graphics, where required.
  • Create winning presentations which support the written submission.
  • Play an important technical role in the development of our templates.
  • Contribute new content, in particular, visuals, to the content library.
  • Ensure we adhere to our bid and governance processes.
  • Support the general preparation, administration, production and publication of customised bid and pre-qualification questionnaires for new, growing and retained business when required. 
  • Support the writing of compelling and complaint responses to tender specification when required. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing other duties from time to time as deemed appropriate.

El Candidato Ideal:

Essential Requirements

  • The ability to "see in pictures" - and able to translate solutions and written text into interesting and engaging graphics.
  • First class graphic design skills and experience.
  • Proficiency using Abode Creative Suite, including InDesign and Illustrator.  
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent formatting skills.
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • An up to date and professional portfolio

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the following:

  • Ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
  • Completes multiple task/assignments with potentially competing deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a Bidding role.
